Celebrating Brad Friesen

After more than a decade with Abundance Canada, Brad Friesen, Director of Generosity and Impact – Western Region, is preparing for a well-earned retirement. 

Throughout his time with us, Brad has built relationships with many families, individuals and charities, connecting their generosity with impact in Western Canada and beyond. When asked about what he’s accomplished, Brad says, “My accomplishments have been around helping people and the impact that I know they are making in the charities that they are donating to. It has been a very meaningful end to my working career.”

Brad has combined his thoughtful leadership, wisdom, and perspective with a deep commitment to the people and mission of Abundance Canada. “When I first met with Brad, I was immediately struck by the passion he has for this work and the people at the heart of it. Thank you, Brad, for being an example to me and to the whole team here at Abundance Canada.” – Alan Goddard, CEO 

We asked Brad what his vision for generosity in Canada is, “I love the Abundance Canada tagline, generosity changes everything. If we are generous, we can make such an impact in the communities we live and work in, as well as throughout our nation.” 

Brad will remain as Director, Generosity and Impact throughout this transition. 

We are incredibly grateful for all Brad has invested in Abundance Canada and the many lives he has touched through this work. As we celebrate his contributions, we’re also beginning to look ahead to the next chapter and the leadership that will carry this important work forward.
